Read the story behind the art
I walked the Promenade near Concord Point and saw one person out on the docks with a fishing pole. From where I stood, the fish did not seem especially interested. I called the picture No Bites. The dock posts, ladder, light pole, and fishing rod make a set of vertical lines that first made me stop. I thought about taking out the ladder but kept it. I pushed the photograph toward blue, with a darker vignette, and let the lower edge stay open beneath the title. The frame took a while to win me over. The picture itself did.

The Bayou

“It was good and far too small. A pie serving should not leave me wondering whether it was an appetizer.”

Read about this meal
The Bayou looked less inviting from the busy road than it did inside. The dining room was almost empty when I arrived around 2:30, and I liked having the place quiet. I sampled some of the many crackers on the table, then had mozzarella sticks with marinara. They were fine, nothing spectacular. The chicken cordon bleu with mashed potatoes was much better, especially the sauce, though I couldn't tell you exactly what was in it. Peanut butter pie finished the meal. It was good and far too small. A pie serving should not leave me wondering whether it was an appetizer.

Where I ranHavre de Grace City Yacht 352 Commerce St, Havre De Grace, MD 21078
I started near the Havre de Grace City Yacht area and ran 5.62 miles in 1:03:18. The watch recorded an 11:15 average pace and 64 feet of elevation gain. The route map follows the waterfront and works its way through town, which gave me another way to look around before choosing a picture. The dock scene at Concord Point became No Bites. My own run at least had a clear finish; I still don't know whether that person on the dock caught dinner.
